HERE IS WHERE I CREATE. THIS IS WHERE NEW PAINTINGS ARE BORN.I am going to keep a kind of blog on this page showing our studio and work in progress. There will also be photos of the Saturday Market and other sales as they come along. THIS PAINTING IS 5 X 7 AND IT IS NOT FINISHED. THE STUDIO IS COLD AND I CAN'T WORK OUTSIDE FOR LONG SO I HAVE BEEN PAINTING SMALL WITH LITTLE BRUSHES. This is a large canvas commisioned by Barb in Portland and subject to her approval. It is my second try as the first one got mired down and sunk!I am applying composite gold leaf. I am working on a new idea which uses thematic contrast between a realist subject and an abstract composition in the same painting.
THE OBO Sale on November 14 THIS IS THE "BEFORE" SHOT.
THE " AFTER " PICTURE. 150 TO 200 PAINTINGS OUT IN THE WORLD AT HOME WITH FRIENDS. THESE ARE LEFT TO DEAL WITH. This is my booth at the Eugene Saturday Market on my last saturday in 2009. There are 2 blocks in downtown Eugene covered with handmade arts and crafts sold by the artists and an international food court. The market runs every saturday april through Christmas. This is the 40th year for the market.
This is the SW corner of our studio showing a large painting and 2 smaller ones in progress. . For many years I thought I wanted a large oganized studio but the truth is I prefer a small cluttered working space.
I have been working on small projects during the quiet times. |
